We say The Lord's Prayer every morning during circle time.
THE LORD’S PRAYER: Our Father who art in heaven hallowed be your name. Your Kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us our daily bread and forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for the kingdom, power and the glory are yours, now and forever. Amen We say the following prayers at snack time: (we change it up so they don't get bored, since some of the kids are here for three meals/snacks) TICK TOCK GOES THE CLOCK PRAYER: Tick tock goes the clock, now it's time to say our prayers We close our eyes and bow our heads and this is what we say: God is great God is good Let us thank Him for our food: By His hands we are fed - Thank you God for daily bread. Amen SUPERMAN PRAYER: Thank you God for giving us food Thank you God for giving us food For the food that we eat For the friends that we meet Thank you God for giving us food Amen This is sang in the tune of the “Superman” theme song, and the kids pretend to be flying while they are praying, and at the end for Amen they put their hands on their hips very proudly in their superman pose and say Amen) END OF THE DAY PRAYER: Angel of God My guardian dear To whom God’s love commits me here Ever this day Be at my side To light and guard To rule and guide May I be filled with love and kindness May I be peaceful and at ease May I be thankful for all that I have Jesus be in our minds, be on our lips and be in our hearts.
